The Nursery

A little room designed for one of life's biggest chapters.

This nursery was created in our own home as we prepared to welcome our daughter, a space filled with anticipation, sentiment, and all of the little details I imagined surrounding her during those first years. I didn't want it to feel overly themed or traditionally "baby." I wanted a sense of nostalgia and whimsy while still feeling sophisticated and connected to the rest of our home.

Rather than beginning with pink, I built the room around a soft, moody blue, layering in blush, dusty rose, cream, and antique gold. The vintage-inspired brass crib became an immediate focal point, almost like an heirloom.

COLLECTED, NOT THEMED

One of my favorite things about designing children's spaces is creating a world for them without relying on a literal theme. Here, that meant subtle references to childhood through rabbits, florals, and vintage-inspired artwork, gathered slowly rather than purchased as a matching set...
